It’s almost impossible to prepare parents for parenthood and yet we need to start doing it because 1 in 3 new mothers and 1 in 5 new dads are suffing from perinatal anxiety or depression. Added to that, 92% of parents report increased conflict and 67% a decline in relationship satisfaction in the first few years of family. As a society, we need to start doing something differently. Parents need - and deserve - a better start for their new family.

It’s almost impossible to prepare parents for parenthood. Like countless other professionals, you may have the same experience:

  1. There’s too much to cover. You know it’s important but you don’t have time for it.

  2. Parents don’t have time for it either.

  3. It’s scary work to do. How do you even begin to tell expecting parents that live will never, ever be the same again?

  4. You don’t want to open a can of worms

  5. Another one and re-order?

I’m Elly Taylor, perinatal relationship specialist, author and founder of Becoming Us.

Over 20 years ago, as a new mother and a relationship counsellor at the same time, I was shocked to discover all the ways my husband and I weren’t prepared for parenthood. We were blindsided by so many new life changes and new relationship challenges, which I later discovered were perfect normal and common. And yet, they nearly brought us undone. For years I wondered why nobody was preparing parents for the changes and challenges of parenthood until 5 years ago or so, I stopped wondering and started to actually do something about it.

I’d love to share what I have learned with you and invite you to join me for this live, free, transformational training.
